The Winnipeg Jets have avoided arbitration with forward Morgan Barron.
The Jets re-signed Barron to a two-year, $3.7-million contract, the team announced Monday.
Barron registered 15 points (eight goals and seven assists) in 74 games with the Jets during the regular season and chipped in two assists in 13 playoff games.
The 26-year-old from Halifax was drafted in the sixth round, 174th overall, by the New York Rangers in 2017.
He was traded to the Jets in March 2022 in the deal that sent Andrew Copp to New York.
Barron has 60 points (30 goals and 30 assists) in 256 career games over five seasons with the Rangers and Jets.
